Assessing Transformation Practices in China under Energy and Environmental Policy Goals: A Green Design Perspective

To achieve energy and environmental policy goals, profound social changes have taken place in the Chinese society. Existing relevant research on assessment tends to focus their respective fields, policy-level support often requires an of predictable effects based overall perspective. In response this problem, paper carries out interdisciplinary study. We chose green design as a new perspective assess process. Green has made important contributions sustainable development fields building, construction, urban planning, which deeply affect consumption world. By combing through concepts models various comprehensive index—green index (hereafter referred GDI)—is first introduced. Further, multi-level big data structure GDI been built regions China long-term series is quantitatively assessed. The results study show that greatly improved during inspection period, but there are huge regional differences. required policies implementation routes also need be adapted local conditions. This introduces credible quantitative analysis framework design, corresponding foundation for transition design.
